Terms of Service

Welcome to My Desi Spoon. By using our website or booking our catering and grazing services, you agree to comply with the following Terms and Conditions:

1. Bookings & Confirmation

Submitting an order request or custom grazing inquiry through our online checkout does not constitute a guaranteed booking. All events are confirmed only upon review of the logistics, date availability, and payment of the required deposit (usually 50% of the calculated total).

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

Because we source fresh ingredients and block our kitchen calendar for your special event, our cancellation rules are as follows:

• Cancellations made more than 14 days before the event will receive a full refund of the deposit.
• Cancellations made between 7 and 14 days before the event will forfeit 50% of the deposit.
• Cancellations made less than 7 days before the scheduled event are non-refundable.

3. Food Safety & Consumption Liability

My Desi Spoon ensures that all food is prepared, transported, and set up in strict compliance with local health and sanitation regulations. However, once our staff delivers the food or completes the setup of a grazing table, temperature control and food safety responsibilities transition to the client.

To ensure food safety, all perishable catering items should be consumed or refrigerated within **2 hours** of setup. My Desi Spoon is not liable for illness or issues arising from food consumed beyond this safety window.

4. SMS Terms & Conditions

By providing your phone number and submitting your catering or grazing request, you consent to receive SMS text messages from My Desi Spoon for transactional and operational purposes (such as catering quotes, invoice readiness, and order status updates). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply HELP for help, or reply STOP to cancel/opt-out of receiving SMS messages. You can view our Privacy Policy below.

My Desi Spoon is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy details how we handle the information collected through our website:

We only collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when submitting an inquiry or finalizing a catering request, which includes:

• Your Full Name
• Email Address and Phone Number
• Event Date, Time, and Setup/Delivery Address
• Custom notes or food preferences

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected details strictly to process your catering orders, coordinate grazing setups, and send secure invoices through our integration partner (Square). We **never** sell, rent, or distribute your email address, phone number, or location details to third parties for marketing purposes.

SMS Consent / Opt-In Data: No mobile information or phone numbers collected for text messaging purposes will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared, sold, or rented to any third parties.

3. Payment Processing & Security

All online credit card payments are processed securely through **Square**. My Desi Spoon does not capture, store, or view your credit card or bank details. Square's secure hosted payment system encrypts and protects all transactions.
