Madhu Kumari
For Chef Madhu Kumari, culinary design is not just about combining flavors; it is an architectural discipline. Born out of a deep reverence for slow-cooking traditions and traditional family recipes, My Desi Spoon represents her vision to elevate authentic Indian food into structural visual displays.
As the primary designer behind our signature grazing tables, Madhu rejects flat layouts. Instead, she applies spatial dimensions—using custom elevations, rustic props, fresh foliage, and ambient styling—to construct catering boards that serve as focal conversation pieces for Atlanta’s premier weddings, corporate functions, and celebrations.
"Food is the ultimate canvas of culture, memory, and spatial design. We do not just plate authentic recipes; we shape visual and flavor dimensions that guests remember for years."— Chef Madhu Kumari
Her Design Principles
Dimensional Layouts
Every grazing display is built with varying height elevations, custom wood risers, and structural layers to ensure an engaging, visual food landscape.
Slow-Cooked Authenticity
Authentic spice combinations are roasted and ground by hand, then slow-cooked to bring forward the true, deep heritage taste profiles of Indian tradition.
Modern Clean Garnishes
Replacing standard buffet setups with high-contrast plating, micro-greens, edible florals, and custom garnishes that fit modern, elegant wedding aesthetics.
